Dental Bridges

Bridges are custom-made false teeth, or a single tooth, permanently placed between healthy teeth. A bridge is used to replace teeth that had to be removed. They are typically used where only one or a couple of teeth are involved, as opposed to dentures, which are removable.

They are held in place by porcelain crowns bonded to the healthy teeth on either side.

Bridges ideally are metal-free and create a natural looking smile.

It is important following extractions to use bridges to limit the shifting of remaining teeth. They can help correct bite and speech problems.

As with crowns, an impression has to be taken in order to construct the bridge. It may take more than one visit to get a perfect fit and comfort.
